Finding Hobbies that are Not FatteningYou can have fun in life while getting exercise! In this article I want to tell you more about how to find hobbies in your life that are going to add bits of exercise, stretching and toning for a healthier you. If you don’t find any of the topics here interesting use your imagination a little more and think about how you can add hobbies to your life that involve moving your body for exercise that is fun. Bike riding is a favorite of many people. Across the world there are avid bike riders that belong to clubs. If you find that you love bike riding, join a club where you and your friends can get together and exercise having a great time all the while. Join a group that involves children. Children keep you moving. If you like girl scouts, boy scouts, big brother, or perhaps just a club that teaches children about anything you will find you will walk more, and eat less while you are having fun. If you have children spend more time with them. You can find all types of hobbies that could involve the whole family like roller skating, ice skating, fishing, hunting, hiking and such that get your body moving while having fun at the same time. Gardening is a great way to get some additional exercise. Your bending, moving, stretching, pulling and working in the garden is actually a good workout for your body. You can get outside and you will get more exercise by working in the flower or in the vegetable garden just a few minutes a day. Mowing the grass, weeding the flowers, and walking through the woods are going to add exercise to your day. Walking the block around your house when you have a few minutes adds exercise to your daily routine and you can say hello to everyone in the neighborhood at the same time. Often high schools have outdoor tracks that you can use free to gather with your friends, walk, and talk and get exercise without having to pay for anything. Cleaning the house is exercise. You sweep the floor, scrub the walls, fold the clothes and move things about the house is all types movements that do add exercise to your daily routine. Ask anyone that you know what they do every day. Perhaps you want to jump rope, wash the house, sweep the sidewalk, wash the car, walk the dog, walk through the mall window shopping, or perhaps you want to sit in the living room and do a few aerobics – these are all types of exercise that can lead you to additional weight loss when you do just one a day! Good luck and get moving. |
